1. IntrCity follows regular cleaning and sanitisation of buses (externally and internally) before every trip. We make sure every SmartBus is safe and fresh before 1st traveller boards.
2. All high contact touch-points in the bus are sanitised - door handles, railings, windows.
3. There is a minimum 6-hour gap between consecutive rides to ensure that sufficient time is available for cleaning and sanitisation protocol to be implemented.

IntrCity trained bus crew makes sure social distancing is strictly followed in buses. this is how:
1. Individual travelers will not be allowed to use adjacent seats or sleepers while booking as well as boarding the bus.
2. Floor markings provide a guide to maintain a minimum distance between passengers; encouraging social distancing.
3. Passengers will not be allowed to stand in the aisle for no particular reason
4. The professional bus crew will not permit the exchange of seats between passengers as well as allow luggage near the sitting area.

For a COVID-safe journey, we recommend minimum stoppages. However, as a precautionary measure, we pre-identify and review public spaces and rest areas that may experience less crowding. Passengers are encouraged to board or deboard buses in smaller batches while following social distancing.
IntrCity SmartBus provides fully sanitized in-bus washrooms, which will be limited to only women and senior citizens until further notice.

What is an ideal time for a traveller to reach the bus stop or boarding lounge before departure?
A)
We recommend our travellers to reach at least 15 minutes before the journey departure since 98% of our buses commence and arrive on time. Our passengers can also track buses online through the ‘Your Journey Page’ that is sent out via SMS. This page keeps travellers updated and informed about their trip. Travellers also receive a mandatory call & SMS if there are any changes in the bus schedule.

What is the safety procedure taken by IntrCity for the traveller onboarding routine?

Every traveler goes through the mandatory thermal screening and KYC process before boarding. Every passenger must cover their mouth with a face mask and wear gloves. Failure of which, the passenger will not be allowed to board the bus.

What are the required documents we need to carry for a SmartBus travel?

1. At the time of boarding, travellers are requested to carry their government-issued ID proof.
2. Aarogya Setu app is also mandatory for travel. The health status on the app will be checked to allow or disallow passenger boarding.

Is the luggage trunk sanitised? What is the ideal luggage weight allowed by IntrCity?

1. IntrCity ensures all buses are cleaned externally with regular soap and water mixture after every trip.
2. Special attention is given to all high touchpoint areas like, passenger entry door and all openable doors such as luggage area (trunk), tools areas, handles, and knobs.
3. For post-COVID-19 travel, we advise all passengers to travel lightweight to avoid keeping luggage in the trunk area for further safety.

The bus crew will make sure there is no touch interaction while keeping service continuity, and strict social distancing is maintained during the onboarding/ deboarding of the bus during bus halts. IntrCity offers its travellers safe & sanitized private air-conditioned boarding lounges. Now travellers can wait in the safe distance inside clean lounges, away from contamination. Our dedicated staff will be wearing masks and hand gloves at all times. They will ensure lounges are super clean and are completely disinfected. AC deep cleaning is strictly followed by the staff - A 360° powerjet cleaning of air-conditioners is done for both SmartBus & boarding lounges.

Is there any restriction regarding IntrCity SmartBus tickets?

With easy cancellations, flexibility to modify tickets, and COVID insurance cover, IntrCity always provides with customer-friendly policies:
1. As we emerge from this pandemic, bus ticket booking cancellation rules will be made flexible to enable passengers to quickly book a journey without worrying about change in plans later.
2. A 100% refund will be given on cancellation. The claim amount will be directly credited to the RY wallet in the form of RY-Cash which can be used for future journeys.
3. The traveler will be able to modify the journey details anytime until 1 hour before the journey.
4. We offer COVID health-safety insurance cover worth 25,000, in addition to the free accidental insurance cover.

Do you also provide meal service onboard?
A)
The travel guidelines issued by the Government have banned the service of onboard meal service for traveller safety. However, IntrCity passengers are allowed to bring their own food for the journey. Sharing of food with other passengers will not be allowed. It is also advised, for vulnerable persons like the elderly, and passengers with health problems to avoid travelling at the moment.
